How to Reduce Flatulence and Acidity
1. Flatulence can be a social embarrassment. Try cutting out or reducing your intake of a few gas-producing foods (eg. beans, cabbage, onions, wheat and processed sugar) for a week or two.
2. Swallow less air when you eat.
3. Don't gulp your food.
4. To swallow less air - which makes its way to your intestine - don't suck on hard candy or chew gum, and steer clear of carbonated beverages.
5. The amount of gas produced by certain foods varies from person to person. Effective dietary changes will depend on learning through trial-and-error, how much of the offending foods one can handle, take note of your diet chart.
